Quarter Beef Deposit - 120lb Ave
We will start taking deposits in Spring of 2026 for Fall 2026 butcher.
We are taking deposits now for October 2026 butcher. THIS IS ONLY A DEPOSIT - We are ONLY taking deposits on our old website, nelsongrassfarm.grazecart.com
We have a small cow herd, used to keep the grasses short in our pastures so the chickens can utilize the land better. They are fed hay in the winter, and our pastures in the growing season. They may receive a small grain treat (our chicken feed) to entice them into the chute 2-4 times in their lifetime.
HOW IT WORKS:
We have a limited number of steers/heifers available each year, depending on our family need. For 2026, we have 1 steer available. (So 4 quarters)
- We charge $5.00 per pound, based on the hanging weight plus processing costs. (2026 pricing)
- A quarter beef averages 215 pounds hanging weight ($1,075) That will be about 125 pounds of take home cuts.
- Processing is usually around $1.04 per hanging weight pound, depending on your processing. ($200 per quarter)
To reserve your quarter or half, we take a deposit of $300 per quarter now. The remainder of your invoice will be due when the beef is processed. If you want a half, please put in 2 quarter deposits to reserve a half of beef.
You will meet us at the MNFood.Club warehouse in Blaine to pickup once the meat is ready, at the farm or you pick up in Sturgeon Lake from the butcher.
