If Our Farm Name Is On It...
. . .We Raised It.
Since we have started farming, we have learned a lot of things about marketing and branding. There are all kinds of farms out there that when we were consumers, and maybe this is what you think too, we just assumed if a farms name is on it they raised it themselves on their farm. But this is not the case.
We want to be very transparent with our customers, and that has been one of our goals since the beginning. If our farm name, Nelson Grass Farm, is on the label then Ryan and I (Desiree) have raised it to our standards on our farm. (Or maybe rented land at some point if we expand in the future!) We have pretty high standards as farmers and how we treat our land, our soil. And if our farm name is on the product, you can be sure that those standards have been followed. If not, we are always straight forward with telling our customers.
Learn more about our standards.
When we are selling other farm products, their name will be on the product. We try to only work with farms/brands that we agree with their practices. They may not be the same as ours, so it will always be up to you to do your own research on other brands to see if they align with your values. We will always make that information available for you to find out more.
Do you expect the farm name on your product to be raised by that farmer?
